About us
Polish engineers. World-class welding automation.
We're RocketWelder — a Warsaw engineering team building AI welding automation that stands on the same stage as Siemens, Bosch, and Velux. Rocket Retina cameras, edge AI, cobots. Installed on Polish shop floors. Designed for the welder, not the consultant.
Mission
Bringing manufacturing automation within reach
80% of welding is still done by hand — not because welders prefer it, but because reprogramming a robot for short series costs more than welding manually. Adaptive welding changes that equation.
Our mission is to bring manufacturing automation within reach of every Polish factory floor — starting with the people who already know how to weld. The welder writes the rules. The AI writes the code. The robot does the work.
Industrial automation shouldn't be a privilege of companies that can afford a team of robot programmers in Stuttgart or Detroit. It should be something a welding engineer in Radom, Gliwice, or Poznań can deploy on Monday morning.
Our story
From a Warsaw software house to the Industry 4.0 stage
Before welding — a Warsaw software house
ModelingEvolution began as a small Warsaw software house building Modellution — a platform that automated software development through Event Storming and Event Modeling, with its own diagrams generating working code. Welding wasn't on the roadmap.
April 2022 — the side project that wasn't
A client asked for what looked like a straightforward build: a welding carriage with a camera, a few stepper motors, and a tablet. It turned out to need real R&D. We shipped version after version — each one closer to what the shop floor actually needed. The final unit landed at the client two years after we started. We came out of it with something more valuable than a paid delivery: hands-on understanding of welding cameras, welding optics, and the gap between what the market sold and what a factory actually needed.
Summer 2024 — two months from idea to camera
We knew exactly what was wrong with existing welding cameras. We pushed R&D hard. In two months we had our own welding camera — Full HD, dual-exposure, LED-augmented optics, industrial interfaces, designed for shop-floor reality from day one.
July–October 2024 — Amazemet: 1.5 hours vs. 3 months
Our first customer found us through LinkedIn in July 2024. Amazemet was atomizing metal powder with a plasma torch and needed vision to control droplet size. They'd already spent three months integrating a competitor's camera without getting the PoC working. We drove to their facility, installed Rocket Retina, integrated with their system — proof-of-concept running in 1.5 hours. What their previous supplier couldn't deliver in three months, we delivered before lunch. That's the whole philosophy: deploy, don't present.

October 2024 — Katowice, on a list with Siemens and Bosch
Two months later, at Forum Nowego Przemysłu in Katowice (October 14–15, 2024), ModelingEvolution / RocketWelder was named a laureate of "The Best of Industry 4.0" in the Technology category. The other 2024 laureates: Velux Polska, Robert Bosch, Stellantis, Siemens Polska, GEA, Automationstechnik, DSR 4Factory, Wiśniowski. A software house from Warsaw, on the same stage as Siemens and Bosch. That's when we realized what this could mean for Polish engineering.
Today — welders in charge, robots at work
After many deployments on real manufacturing floors, the pattern holds: welders and welding engineers can run the robots themselves. Rocket Retina cameras mount on the torch or the robot arm. Our edge AI runs on-site. Standard protocols connect to Fairino cobots and ABB robots. Installation included in Poland. No cloud. Your data stays in your factory.
One welding engineer. Five robots. The same weld quality on every one of them.
Values
What we believe
Truth above all
We show real welding footage, real parameters, real limitations. No catalog pictures.
Delete before you optimize
The best part is no part. The best process is no process.
Simplify first
Simple beats elegant. Three similar lines of code are better than premature abstraction.
Deploy, don't present
Real factory floor, real integration, real working system on day one.
We don't replace welders — we multiply them. An experienced welder already knows the materials, the joints, the parameters. They just can't be in five places at once. Our platform carries that knowledge onto robots.
Team
Built by a small team in Warsaw
All engineers. All here because they love what they build. Headquartered in Warsaw, remote-first across Poland and CEE. Paying customers in maritime, automotive, aerospace, and stainless-steel fabrication.
